Report Corruption & Power Abuse
No matter where you go in the world, in order for law enforcement to be effective those who are tasked with this responsibility must be beyond corruption or it will fail. When offenders are able to "buy their way" out of prosecution, the system fails and honest citizens lose.
Similarly, in private business, when "buying your way" into a deal is a possibility, honest people and businesses lose out. Corruption is not the exclusive property of those in Government service and where this happens in business it is equally illegal and this too must be tackled.
Justice Project South Africa, has teamed up with the South African Police Service Anti-Corruption Task Team and now offers a facility for members of the public to report corruption and power abuse using a truly anonymous mechanism. All information is strictly confidential and is handled directly by the SAPS.
This internet-based form submission mechanism gathers no data apart from what is volunteered by the complainant unlike SMS and telephonic report lines. This makes it truly anonymous.
Before you start...
- Whilst events that have already happened can be investigated, we would prefer information on events that are yet to happen in order to correctly stage an operation to deal with it.
- We need names, places and times.
- Please supply as much information as possible.
- This is not an emergency reporting tool. If you have an emergency please dial the SAPS on 10111.
